Are you VESA certified?

Yes — GotYou Telematics (Pty) Ltd is a certified VESA member (member number 301714), and selected units in our catalogue are VESA certified. Currently the Teltonika FMC920 carries the VESA seal for 2026 (ABS Category C, approval code 50271, valid 1 Jan – 31 Dec 2026) — the credential SA insurers require for vehicle-cover fitment. The certificate is publicly downloadable from the FMC920 page. Other Teltonika units we supply — FMC125, FMC150, FMC250 — are commonly accepted in fitment programmes when paired with an SA monitoring partner; we hand the paperwork your broker needs.

Are you cheaper than buying Teltonika direct?

Yes — usually meaningfully cheaper at end-user qty. We procure from Teltonika in bulk and pass the volume discount through, even on small orders. A buyer ordering 1–5 units lands on the same ZAR price band as if they were buying 50 elsewhere. Quote-based and qty-dependent — send us the spec and we'll come back with a number — fast turnaround during business hours.

Our top sellers — FMC920 and FMC150 — we keep on our shelf for same-day ship. The rest of the catalogue we pull from Teltonika's local SA warehouse, typically within 48 hours of order confirmation. We confirm exact ETA with your quote.

What's your minimum order quantity?

None. We'll order a single device for a proof of concept or a few hundred for a fleet rollout. Pricing is qty-dependent.

How does configuration work?

We configure devices with you, not in a dark room before shipping. Devices arrive sealed from Teltonika; we then jump on a call (WhatsApp, TeamViewer, or in-shop) and walk through APN setup, server endpoint pointing, I/O wiring, and any Codec 8E scripts. Your settings, signed off by you, loaded together.

What about the 2G FMB range?

South Africa's 2G networks are winding down, so we don't carry stock of the FMB line or push it for new deployments. Every device shown here is on Cat-1, Cat-M1 (LTE-M), or NB-IoT — future-proof for the next 10+ years. FMB models are still available on request for legacy or international projects — just ask.

I have yellow plant / heavy machinery — what should I track it with?

For TLBs, excavators, dozers, graders, and diesel rigs, we recommend the Teltonika FTC305 — a purpose-built FMS truck tracker with J1939 CAN readout. It reads engine hours, fuel consumption, RPM, and diagnostic codes straight off the bus. Wide voltage tolerance for heavy plant electrical systems, designed for harsh environments. For more I/O headroom (extra fuel sensors, driver-ID, cameras) step up to the FTC924 or FMC650.

What about cross-border / SADC operations?

For vehicles crossing into Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, or Namibia, Cat-M1 + NB-IoT is your best bet — most SADC carriers support it with cleaner roaming than Cat-1. That points you at the FMM series (Cat-M1 + NB-IoT): FMM920 for OBD plug-in, or FMM150 if you need advanced I/O on top of cross-border GPS. We can pair with cross-border SIMs that work across the region without per-country swaps.

Do you charge for setup help?

Basic setup support — APN guidance, server endpoint pointing, I/O wiring questions — is on the house when you order with us. Heavy custom scripts or full platform integrations we quote separately based on scope.
